Brent’s diversity is evident to all who visit our borough and our long history of ethnic and cultural diversity has created a place that is truly unique and valued by those who live and work here. The Post

As an Operations Supervisor in Brent’s Conference and Events team, you will help deliver a wide range of high‑quality events from start to finish, supporting everything from internal meetings and conferences to weddings, civic ceremonies, public events and corporate hospitality for up to 1,000 guests. Working closely with the Senior Operations Supervisor and event planning team, you will play a hands‑on role in making sure every event runs smoothly, safely and to a consistently high standard.

You will supervise event set‑up and clear‑down, act as a main point of contact for clients on the day, oversee agency staff and suppliers on site, and respond quickly to any operational or AV issues that arise. The role also includes helping maintain event spaces, monitoring health and safety standards, supporting rotas and agency bookings, and producing accurate post‑event reports and feedback. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, takes pride in great service and wants to help grow the reputation of Brent’s events offer.

The Person

We are looking for a confident, organised and customer‑focused events professional with experience of supporting the operational delivery of a broad range of events in a busy venue or events environment. You will be calm under pressure, highly attentive to detail and comfortable supervising staff, agency workers and suppliers to ensure events are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

You will bring strong communication skills, a hands‑on approach and the ability to build confidence with clients and colleagues at all levels. Ideally, you will have experience of event management systems, producing event briefs and reports, and handling the practical demands of event operations, including manual handling. Knowledge of current health and safety requirements is essential, and a first aid qualification, personal licence or SIA training would be an advantage, although training can be provided. Flexibility is important, as this role works on a 5 out of 7 basis and includes evening and weekend working when required.
