Based in the heart of Wembley’s regeneration zone, Brent Council is offering an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified Assistant Building Control Surveyor (RBI Class 1) to join a high-performing team. You’ll gain hands-on experience with a variety of projects, receive expert mentorship, and be supported on your path toward becoming a fully registered Building Control Inspector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in delivering Building Control services for domestic, commercial and mixed-use projects
- Carry out plan assessments and inspections under supervision
- Manage an assigned area of the borough with guidance from senior officers
- Provide technical support and respond to regulatory enquiries
- Contribute to compliance with Building Regulations and related legislation
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will be/have:
- Recently qualified at RBI Class 1 level and eager to grow
- Registered under a credited institute and working toward chartership with a recognised professional body.
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills
- Technically astute and detail-oriented
- Full UK driving licence and access to a car
