We are seeking a Junior Accounts Assistant to support the day-to-day operations of the finance department. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their career in accounting within a supportive team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Banking of all incoming customer cash (GBP/EUR/USD/SGD)
  • Weekly production of the aged debt analysis for line manager
  • Chasing outstanding debts in a timely manner
  • Preparing customer statements
  • Assist management accountant with uploading new customers into Navision, including the appropriate credit checks, international and banking compliance checks on all new customers.
  • Responsible for the credit control inbox and dealing with queries in a timely manner
  • Assist management accountant with setting up of all payments (GBP/EUR/USD/SGD)
  • Assisting with other ad-hoc duties as required

Your Profile

  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Comfortable working with financial data and documentation
  • Basic understanding of accounting processes (training provided where required)
  • Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
  • Study support also available

Location: Guildford

Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week (Mon-Fri 8.30am-5pm with one day a week work from home)
