About the Role – We are looking for a Sales Manager to lead the Food Sales Team. This role can be based anywhere in the UK and will require regular travel to our Head office in Leeds.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop Sales Strategies: Create and implement strategies to meet the company’s sales targets, maximising revenue growth and market penetration.
  • Supervise and Lead the Sales Team: Hire, train, and guide sales team members, setting individual and team goals and ensuring they are met.
  • Set Sales Goals and Forecasting: Define monthly, quarterly, and annual goals and provide accurate sales forecasts based on data analysis and market trends.
  • Build and Maintain Customer Relationships: Develop strong, lasting relationships with key clients, addressing their needs and resolving issues to foster loyalty.
  • Market and Competitor Analysis: Monitor market trends and competitor activities to adjust sales strategies and maintain the company’s competitive edge.
  • Interdepartmental Collaboration: Work with other departments (such as marketing, product, and customer service) to align sales strategies with the company’s overall objectives.
  • Performance Reporting and Analysis: Prepare reports on sales performance, analyse key metrics, and present results to senior management.
  • Optimise Sales Processes: Review and improve sales processes to enhance the team’s efficiency and productivity.
  • Sales Budget Management: Manage and allocate the sales budget, ensuring effective use of financial resources to maximise results.

Experience:

  • Previous experience in a Senior Commercial role in the Nutrition sector
  • Degree preferably in Nutrition/related subject
  • People Management and Matrix Structure Experience
  • Balance of Strategy development and Tactical delivery

Knowledge of:

  • Food industry
  • Distribution
  • Senior Commercial
