Overview Operator/Driver role at Brenntag. The role involves safe delivery of drops, safe handling and storage of supplies, loading vehicles, and contributing to depot operations to ensure on-time deliveries. Responsibilities Safe delivery of a series of drops as instructed by the Transport Manager Safety will always be our number one priority. In addition a very high level of service is essential, with the desire to go the extra mile for our customers. Receive deliveries of supplies and ensure safe handling and storage to laid down operational procedures Load vehicles of supplies and ensure safe handling and dispatch to laid down operational procedures Contribute to the safe handling and storage of chemical products to ensure compliance with legislation and operational requirements Build loads to meet customer orders, both manual handling and by fork lifted pallets Fill packed chemical products using set safe operating practices Contribute to the safe operational effectiveness and efficiency of the depot, following procedures and working as part of a team, to ensure on-time deliveries Undertake any reasonable tasks or duties assigned by your line manager, related to the effective and efficient performance of the job, within the post holder\’s skills and ability Qualifications Experienced HGV Driver with Class2 and ADR qualifications. Experience of multi-drop logistics servicing a wide variety of customers would also be beneficial. HGV Class2 and ADR are essential. Demonstrable and thorough Health and Safety knowledge HGV Class 1 and counter-balance FLT license would be advantageous but are not a pre-requisite. Knowledge of chemical filling and loading activities would also be an advantage. However, training will be provided.
