HGV Driver – Fixed Term Contract role at Brenntag. Brenntag UK & Ireland is the market leader in specialty, bulk and packaged chemical distribution. In the UK, we employ circa 1,000 people from 21 strategic sites, three sea-fed facilities and a dedicated fleet of over 120 vehicles. We serve over 20,000 customer accounts nationwide.

We are recruiting a Fixed Term Contract driver based at our Bradford depot. You’ll be responsible for the safe loading and delivery of hazardous and non-hazardous materials. You’ll work to planned schedules and follow policies and operational procedures. Join Brenntag!

Responsibilities

  • Safe loading and delivery of hazardous and non-hazardous materials.
  • Working to planned schedules and agreed policies/operational procedures.
  • Contributing to safe operational effectiveness and depot efficiency by following procedures and working as part of a team to achieve on-time deliveries.

Qualifications

  • HGV Class 1 or Class 2 License (with C+E/C Entitlement), plus current driver CPC training.
  • Multi-drop experience (highly desirable).
  • ADR certificates (all classes except 1 & 7) are preferable; training could be provided for the right candidate.
  • Strong customer focus and ability to communicate with customers and management to deliver the product safely.
  • Good awareness of drivers’ hours legislation and accurate record keeping.
  • Ability to contribute to safe operational effectiveness and depot efficiency by following procedures and working as part of a team.
