We are recruiting HGV drivers to be based out of our Manchester depot. The purpose of the job is to support the Transport Manager in the day-to-day activities of the operation.
Main Responsibilities:
To ensure continuity of Transport operations by providing operational support to the Transport Manager and ensuring compliance with the Company’s legal & other responsibilities.
Work with the Transport Manager to manage the development, performance, and maintenance of the transport team to produce an efficient transport service, maximising performance, value and profitability against pre-agreed targets
Work with the Transport Manager to manage the department in line with the budgetary constraints.
Undertake training and development sessions
Monitor driver hours & infringements
Carry out regular vehicle gate (spot) checks to ensure continued compliance
Ensure pre and post use vehicle checks are completed daily
Report all accidents\incidents in line with Brenntag reporting requirements
What we’re looking for:-
HGV Class 2 License along with current driver CPC training
Work Rota:
Your usual hours will be from 5am to 14.15pm, Monday to Friday.
