This is a pivotal role, ideal for someone who brings both strategic insight and a hands-on, values-driven approach to care leadership.
As Head of Care, you will:
- Provide strong, supportive leadership to Registered Managers and hospitality teams across all sites
- Oversee the quality and consistency of care, ensuring full compliance with CQC regulations and best practice standards
- Drive continuous improvement in service delivery, safeguarding, and resident outcomes
- Lead a culture of openness, accountability, and person-centred care
- Work with our Quality team to embed quality assurance, audits, and care governance across all sites
- Support the development of care teams, promoting learning and compassionate leadership
- Work closely with the Senior Leadership Team on strategy, risk management, and operational excellence
What We’re Looking For
- Level 5 Diploma or above in Leadership for Health & Social Care (or equivalent)
- Significant senior leadership experience in adult social care, ideally across multiple sites
- A track record of improving care quality and driving compliance with CQC and safeguarding standards
- Strong people management skills with the ability to coach, influence, and build trusting relationships
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities
- Confident in budget management, audit processes, and performance oversight
- You’re a skilled, values-driven leader with strong knowledge of health and social care, a focus on operational excellence, and a passion for driving positive change in the sector.
- Proven senior leadership experience in operational roles within the health or social care sector.
- A strong track record of managing complex, multi-site teams and services, ensuring high performance and alignment with organisational goals.
- In-depth knowledge of CQC regulations, safeguarding procedures, and relevant quality standards.
- Significant experience in setting and managing large operational budgets, with a strong sense of commercial awareness and financial accountability.
- A passion for data-driven improvement, with the ability to use insights to shape service development and drive innovation.
- A full UK driving licence and the flexibility to travel regularly across Brendoncare sites.
Desirable experience includes:
- Leadership experience within a not-for-profit or charitable organisation
- Evidence of ongoing professional development in care, management or quality
