The predicted salary is between 20000 - 25000 £ per year.
Full-time 5 days a week - 8am - 4:30pm fully flexible including some weekend working or Part Time 4 days a week - 8am - 4:30pm fully flexible including some weekend working.
Pay from £13.71 - £14.21 based on qualifications. We are looking for NVQ level 2 or 3 as a minimum or a City and Guilds Qualification. This is a permanent role, not a seasonal role.
As Maintenance Staff, you will maintain the fixtures and fittings of the building and ensure our high standards of maintenance and upkeep are followed. Although this is not a forward-facing role, it is important that you maintain good customer relations with guests as some jobs will involve being around busy areas of the hotel. Keeping our hotel running smoothly is vital to our guests' experience and you will play a key role in this.
What will I be doing?
- As Maintenance staff at the Carlyon Bay Hotel, you are responsible for keeping our establishment looking its best, from simple repairs to much larger projects.
- You will need to be proactive in ensuring any emergencies are dealt with immediately.
- Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
- Painting and decorating
- General maintenance and carrying out daily maintenance issues
What are we looking for?
- Experienced maintenance person, or someone who holds a trade qualification.
- Have an awareness of, and a good attitude towards, health & safety.
- Be capable of carrying out a range of different maintenance tasks.
- Good understanding of power tool safety along with experience of practical work.
- Great communication and customer service skills.
- Passionate about delivering the highest levels of service with a desire to learn, work hard and progress within.
- A level of fitness – you’ll be on your feet most of the day, and will need to bend and kneel a lot.
- Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Able to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
- Be able to prioritise tasks.
