This role is for Waiting Staff at Brend Collection in Barnstaple. It involves a variety of early morning, evening and weekend shifts, including bank holidays and special holidays such as Easter and Christmas. Because some shift patterns have no public transport available, having your own transport is preferred. The position offers competitive pay, opportunities for progression, a share of staff tips, staff discounts, and paid holidays.
Responsibilities
- Delivering excellent customer service to all guests and non‑residents.
- Preparing the station for service, stocking condiments and linen and servicing cutlery.
- Welcoming customers, issuing menus and recording customer orders.
- Serving food and drinks in a friendly and efficient manner.
- Clearing and relaying tables as necessary.
- Participating in Restaurant cleaning alongside other Waiting Staff.
- Understanding and complying with company policy on Hasawa, fire precautions, legal requirements and performing any other tasks required from time to time.
- Assisting other departments where necessary and maintaining good working relationships.
Qualifications
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn on the job.
- Good communication skills.
- A neat and tidy appearance (hair and fingernails) and adherence to uniform requirements.
- Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations.
- Ability to follow instructions and guidance, while also using your own initiative.
- Previous experience is beneficial but not essential, as full training will be provided.
