We are looking to appoint a Group Commercial Product Manager who will be responsible for defining the vision, strategy, and roadmap across our product categories. Reporting to the Commercial Director, this role will need to work collaboratively with the commercial team, engineering team, customers, and supplier partners to ensure our new and existing product categories meet market needs and support short, medium and long term business objectives. You will work with global partners across the automotive sectors and travel internationally to meet customers, visit suppliers and represent the business at leading exhibitions and trade shows. The job location for this role is flexible, the role can be based in the UK or internationally with remote and hybrid working available.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a clear product vision aligned with company goals.
  • Collaborate with the commercial team to evaluate market trends and customer needs to identify opportunities.
  • Work with the commercial team and the customer to meet customer requirements covering the range of products that they require.
  • Identify and evaluate the best supplier partner to suit the customer’s needs and quality level for new product categories.
  • Work with the commercial team during a new product launch to a customer to ensure a smooth rollout.
  • Along with the commercial team, work to resolve any issues impacting customer experience.
  • Work with the engineering team to manage training programmes and material required for each product category.

About You

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience of the automotive industry particularly Heavy Vehicles.
  • Proven experience in a dynamic product management role, ideally in the automotive industry including hands on experience of managing all aspects of the product life cycle.
  • Experience of working closely with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to understand product requirements and translate them into product specifications.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, written, verbal and presentation skills.
  • Excellent organisation and project management skills with the ability to multi-task.
