We are currently looking for a Weighbridge Operator to join our team in Leaton Quarry, Telford. This role is based on 48 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities
- Dispatch of outgoing products, weighing of delivery vehicles and the issue of delivery documentation is completed correctly
- Allocate loads to the fleet
- Direction of vehicles to appropriate area
- Maintaining accurate records of weighbridge transactions
- Ensuring that all loads are properly contained
- Providing clear and precise information to drivers and relevant personnel
- Receipt of incoming products, e.g. Aggregate and bitumen
- Operation of weighbridges and systems
- Ensure drivers entering the site are qualified and equipped to do so and are aware of company rules and using MP Connect
- Ensure weighbridge operations meet Trading Standards requirements relating to the Weights and Measures Act
- Ensuring that all environmental incidents or near misses are documented and reported to management
- Ensure process in place for handovers
- Ensure work carried out is to the highest level of accuracy
- Ensure housekeeping of current SOP’s and recognise where new ones are needed
- Inducting, issuing and recording of site rules to all site users
- Assisting management in ensuring site rules are followed
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- Experience in weighbridge operation or a related field
- Proficiency in accurately weighing and recording incoming and outgoing goods
- Ability to operate and maintain weighbridge equipment
- Effective communication skills for interacting with drivers, personnel, and clients
- Knowledge of weight regulations and industry standards
- Attention to detail for precise record-keeping and data entry
- Adherence to safety and compliance protocols in weighbridge operations
- Full UK driving licence; this is due to the site location
- Good customer service skills
