Description

To support the Group Tax Managers (UK & ROI) and Head of Tax to ensure the Company meets all its legal, statutory and regulatory requirements, by providing analytical, reporting, project and system updates.


Key Responsibilities

  • Monthly download of VAT data for UK and ROI, roll forward of the VAT workbooks and running of exception tests for Finance Teams.
  • Collating data from Finance Teams and completing monthly intrastat return and EC Sales list submissions.
  • Review and analysis of data for annual PAYE Settlement Agreement submission.
  • Analysis for tax sensitive accounts for corporation tax computations
  • Assisting with VAT and corporation tax compliance for smaller subsidiaries.
  • Assisting with projects such as CIS/RCT process mapping and preparation of process documentation, review of haulier tax processes, data gathering for Irish Revenue disclosure purposes, monthly tax controls testing.
  • Ad hoc duties as required


Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

  • Strong excel skills and data analytics.
  • Previous experience of working within a finance team in a corporate setting e.g. accounts payable, purchase ledger, etc
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work as part of a small team
  • Desire to learn basic tax knowledge and apply to business situations
  • Able to work accurately with a good eye for detail
  • Organised, able to work to and meet deadlines
  • Ability to be inquisitive and ask questions, not just follow instructions
  • Good business acumen
  • Previous experience in tax (UK and/or Ireland) desirable but not essential
