We are currently recruiting a Depot Operative to join our small team based in our Theale Cement Depot, where you will be responsible for various duties across the site to ensure the safe distribution and receipt of cement product by road and rail.
Key Responsibilities
- The efficient day-to-day operation of the bulk storage and out loading plant
- Rail off loading
- The collection and analysis of production samples
- Regular checks and record keeping in regard to health, safety and environment legislation and for local permit requirements
- General cleaning and housekeeping duties, and first line maintenance duties
- Liaise with the Admin supervisor on warehouse issues
- Ensure that the operation meets the customer service requirements by completing each function to the highest standards
- To handle all aspects of Depot Operations, maintaining / operating the equipment
- To check documentation and physically check loads before departure
- To carry out general housekeeping and stocktaking to ensure that the profile of the site is maintained to the very highest standard
