Key Responsibilities
As a Multi Skilled Quarry Operative with an 8.1.d Appointee, you’ll primarily be operating a Loading Shovel with the opportunity to turn your hand to operating other mobile plant and working in a ‘hands on’ position supporting the Quarry Manager in efficiently managing a sand Quarry alongside a close-knit group of colleagues. You’ll be an ideal fit for this position if you have a great sense of humour and don’t mind getting your hands dirty!
As an assistant to the Quarry Manager, you will take an active role in supervising all day-to-day operations whilst operating the Loading Shovel working towards the timely and cost-effective production of all materials produced on site.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- A full UK Driving Licence – owing to the location of the quarry you will need to be able to drive your own vehicle or otherwise be able to reliably get yourself to work on time.
- A genuine interest in the construction materials industry, specifically an interest in driving heavy mobile plant machinery.
- It would be preferable if you have experience operating a Wheeled Loading Shovel.
