The primary duty for this role will be to support the Quarry Manager with the safe and efficient management and operation of the Quarry. You will support the management of production and extraction activities, troubleshooting technical problems and overseeing planning of day-to-day operations in conjunction with other departments across site.
Key Responsibilities- Safety will comprise a key element of the role. Conduct risk assessments and health and safety inspections and demonstrate leadership in safety.
- Perform administrative duties, from writing reports and updating records to procurement and budget control.
- Plan and organise work in a time efficient fashion.
- Have background in the extractive industry, be familiar with the extractive process with a strong focus on safety and interpersonal skills.
- Contribute to the Company’s zero harm culture and sustain high standards of Health, Safety and Environmental management.
- Problem Analysis - Ability to proactively identify problems, seek pertinent data, recognise important information, and identify possible causes.
- Compliance - Adherence to company policy and/or procedures. Seeks approval from the correct authority for changes.
- Interpersonal Skills - Awareness of other people and environment and own impact on these. Actions indicate consideration for the feelings and needs of others.
- Detail Handling - Tolerance for and ability to handle the details and paperwork associated with the job.
