Department: Technical (Product Quality and Development) Location: Cragmill Quarry, Northumberland Description We are currently seeking a Technician supporting the Aggregate and Asphalt Testing at our Cragmill Quarry & Asphalt Plant, Northumberland. You will report directly to the Technical Manager. A Business use Van will be provided to allow mobility to our customer sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out product compliance sampling and testing for the aggregates and asphalt we produce.
- Input and interpret test data and produce reports of non-conforming material, ensuring corrective action is taken.
- Liaise with multiple stakeholders, including customers and peers.
- Maintain strong attention to detail.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- Good communication skills to liaise with stakeholders, including customers, laboratory personnel and Technical Supervisors.
- Maintain awareness of site practices and quality procedures, taking action when they may adversely affect product quality.
- Adhere to Health & Safety practices of both the Company and your site.
- General housekeeping responsibilities.
- Previous laboratory experience in testing aggregates and asphalt is desirable but not essential; full training provided.
- A full driving licence is essential, as you will be required to drive a company van.
- Commitment to the Group's zero harm culture in Health, Safety and Environmental management.
