Join our team at 1st Mix as a Transport Planner and play a vital role in shaping the transportation operations of our minimix concrete business across the United Kingdom. We're looking for high-calibre individuals who excel in strategic order planning, workflow management, and communication, and who are adept at leveraging technology to optimise efficiency and drive results. This role will be based at our Walsall Offices, operating from Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 4:30pm.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Order Planning: Develop and execute strategic plans for order fulfilment, ensuring timely delivery of minimix concrete to construction sites across a defined coverage area.
- Workflow Management and Prioritisation: Efficiently manage transportation workflows, prioritising orders based on customer requirements, project deadlines, and fleet capacity.
- Concise Communication Skills: Communicate effectively with internal teams, external stakeholders, and customers via telephone and email, providing updates on delivery schedules, resolving queries, and addressing any issues that may arise.
- Technology Utilisation: Utilise transport management software and other technology tools to streamline processes, optimise routes, and track delivery progress in real-time.
- Collaborative Environment: Work closely with our drivers and other planners to coordinate logistics activities, address challenges, and ensure smooth operations.
