We are looking for an enthusiastic Mixer Driver to join our team at our Grimsby Concrete Plant. This role is perfect for someone with a passion for driving and a keen interest in learning more about the construction materials industry. With a focus on delivering our products throughout Lincolnshire, South Yorkshire and North Nottinghamshire, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our reputation for efficiency, safety, and quality. Full training on our products and processes will be provided, ensuring you're well-prepared to meet our high standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver concrete safely and efficiently.
  • Liaise and build positive relationships with the internal Distribution Team and internal/external customers.
  • Ensure all deliveries comply with legal requirements, prioritising the health, safety, and environmental standards of Breedon.
  • Work closely with the area Transport Manager to optimise delivery schedules and routes.
  • Contribute to the team by maintaining a flexible approach to working hours, including occasional nights and weekends.

Skills, Knowledge Expertise

The successful candidate will have a flexible, proactive and versatile approach to work. You will have an energetic “hands on” approach and the ability to anticipate problems and consider a solution and the ability to negotiate and work collaboratively with colleagues on both a formal and informal level. This position is ideal for a highly motivated, hard-working person with a positive attitude. You will have experience of HGV driving and have a valid class C licence and a current driver CPC. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of the local area and you will preferably be experienced in delivering concrete, although this is not essential as training will be provided. You will be flexible in your approach to work variable hours, with the availability for occasional nights and weekends. A genuine interest in the construction materials industry and a commitment to continuous personal and professional development. The Group places the highest importance on sustained standards of excellence in all aspects of Health, Safety and Environmental management and you will be expected to contribute to the Company’s zero harm culture.
