We are looking for an enthusiastic HGV Concrete Relief Driver to join our team. The role is to provide holiday, sickness & training cover for drivers in the Lincolnshire area. A van will be provided to get from site to site (business use only). This role is perfect for someone who likes variety, with a passion for driving and a desire to set an example to others in everything they do. You will play a crucial role in maintaining our reputation for efficiency, safety, and quality.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver concrete and mortar safely and efficiently.
- Liaise and build positive relationships with the internal Distribution Team and internal/external customers.
- Ensure all deliveries comply with legal requirements, prioritising the health, safety, and environmental standards of Breedon.
- Work closely with the area Transport Manager to optimise downtime on vehicles, delivery schedules and routes.
- Contribute to the team by maintaining a flexible approach to working hours, including occasional nights and weekends.
The successful candidate will have a flexible, proactive and versatile approach to work. You will have an energetic “hands on” approach and the ability to anticipate problems and consider a solution and the ability to negotiate and work collaboratively with colleagues on both a formal and informal level. This position is ideal for a highly motivated, hard-working person with a positive attitude. You will have experience of HGV driving and have a valid class C licence and a current driver CPC. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of the local area and you will be experienced in delivering concrete. You will be flexible in your approach to work variable hours, with the availability for occasional nights and weekends. A genuine interest in the construction materials industry and a commitment to continuous personal and professional development.
