A Sales Lorry Driver with Breedon involves the distribution of dry powder from our depots to customer locations. You will be part of the logistics team who operate across the whole of Great Britain where Breedon distribute and receive produce via road, rail and ship. In addition, you will work closely with the commercial team to help deliver the best possible customer service. The role does require the successful postholder to have held a Class 1 license for a minimum of 2 years.
Key Responsibilities
- Loading and discharging of dry powders.
- Responsibility for planning own routes in liaison with the logistics team.
- Responsibility for first use inspection and cleanliness of vehicle.
- Completion of documentation to a high standard, including tickets and inspections, using a tablet computer (training given).
- Responsible for reporting all safety-related issues to line management as they occur.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
Essential Criteria
- Possess a DIGI card.
- Held Class 1 licence for at least 2 years.
- Drivers CPC.
- Flexibility as start and finish times will vary.
- Availability for night and weekend work is essential.
Desirable Criteria
- Experience with Pressure Discharging of Bulk Solid Powder.
- MP Connect Card β Site Safety Awareness and Behaviour.
- Safe Urban Driving CPC Certificate.
