We are currently seeking a Construction Material Technician to join our team at Temple Quarry. As a Construction Material Technician, you will be responsible for efficiently and effectively assisting in the quality assurance of quarrying and surfacing products. This includes conducting onsite and offsite materials testing and updating electronic records.
Responsibilities:
- To test and sample aggregate, bituminous and unbound earthworks materials including grading analysis, binder content and physical, chemical and mechanical testing in a safe and efficient manner, both in the laboratory and on contracting sites/plant.
- To conduct daily organoleptic checks for lab, production facilities and all stockpiles.
- To maintain a safe and tidy workspace and ensure the efficient running of the laboratory.
- To maintain quality standards by following Company and accrediting bodies quality procedures and protocol.
- To record sample details on test record sheets and laboratory software.
- To calibrate all testing equipment.
- To prepare for inspections from independent accrediting bodies.
- To undertake daily laboratory equipment checks.
- To investigate all material related complaints.
