As our next credit controller at Breedon Group, you'll be an integral part of the team to ensure cash targets are met, reducing risk to the business and supporting commercial growth. To excel in this role, you'll need to be an excellent team player, enjoy working to tight deadlines and following processes. Working within a large, tight-knit team of dedicated professionals, your role is to play a key part in the robust collections process whilst bringing new ideas.
Key Responsibilities- Cash collection
- Management of approximately 700 sales ledger accounts
- Recording of all communications using a bespoke collections system
- Credit risk analysis
- Bad debt mitigation
- Building and maintaining relationships with sales and distribution teams
- Working towards and understanding given targets
- Monitoring and daily management of overtrading
- Management of credit limits
- Monitoring of daily banking receipts
- Query logging
- Processing card payments
- Account reconciliations
- Other duties as requested by line manager
- Must be able to demonstrate a high level of written and numerical literacy
- Must have good negotiation skills and have the ability to work under pressure to strict deadlines
- Must be able to clearly communicate and adapt approach to individual customer requirements
- Desirably studying towards CICM level 3; CICM studies are supported
