Job Purpose
To provide the National Park Authority with a comprehensive, professional estate management service and expertise in sustainable land management, rural policy, and rural business development. This includes providing coordinated oversight of the Authority’s owned (non-commercial) estate to ensure appropriate management, statutory compliance, and implementation of agreed management plans aligned to BBNPA’s organisational missions and statutory duties.
Main Duties
- Provide advice, guidance and support on sustainable land use and estate management to encourage appropriate and innovative management solutions.
- Work closely with the wardens team and wider Countryside and Estates team to support organisational capital works projects and ensure estate management requirements arising from ownership responsibilities are clearly specified and integrated into our operational service.
- Help the Authority build positive relationships with the farming community and other landowners within the National Park in order to establish effective partnerships for the management of the estate.
