Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Foreman to assist our Foreman in overseeing daily construction operations. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and leadership skills, along with a strong understanding of construction methods and processes. The Assistant Foreman will play a critical role in ensuring all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Foreman in overseeing and coordinating all on-site construction activities
- Ensure that the project is being built according to the plans and specifications
- Supervise and train construction staff and subcontractors
- Communicate daily progress to the Foreman and provide solutions to any issues that may arise
- Conduct regular quality checks to ensure work is completed to company and industry standards
- Maintain a safe work environment and promote adherence to all safety protocols
- Keep accurate records of work progress, materials used, and expenses incurred
- Collaborate with the team to develop and implement construction schedules and maintain project timelines
- Order and monitor materials and equipment needed for construction projects
- Assist with estimating and budgeting for upcoming projects
- Comply with all company policies, procedures, and regulations
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction, preferably in a supervisory role
- Strong understanding of construction methods and processes
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction plans
