Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Foreman to assist our Foreman in overseeing daily construction operations. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and leadership skills, along with a strong understanding of construction methods and processes. The Assistant Foreman will play a critical role in ensuring all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Foreman in overseeing and coordinating all on-site construction activities
  • Ensure that the project is being built according to the plans and specifications
  • Supervise and train construction staff and subcontractors
  • Communicate daily progress to the Foreman and provide solutions to any issues that may arise
  • Conduct regular quality checks to ensure work is completed to company and industry standards
  • Maintain a safe work environment and promote adherence to all safety protocols
  • Keep accurate records of work progress, materials used, and expenses incurred
  • Collaborate with the team to develop and implement construction schedules and maintain project timelines
  • Order and monitor materials and equipment needed for construction projects
  • Assist with estimating and budgeting for upcoming projects
  • Comply with all company policies, procedures, and regulations

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction, preferably in a supervisory role
  • Strong understanding of construction methods and processes
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction plans
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management software
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and protocols
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • High school diploma or equivalent required, degree in construction management or related field is a plus
