Rate of pay: £13.44 per hour Hours: Part time, 15 hours per week Place of Work: Across the Breckland district Basis: PermanentWe are seeking 2 x Cleaners (15 hours a week per cleaner) to ensure the cleanliness, hygiene, and overall tidiness of Breckland Council Offices and Residential Accommodation. To uphold high standards of cleanliness and presentation, contributing to the well-being, comfort, and satisfaction of individuals using the space.This role requires travel between various Council sites and properties. Reasonable business mileage and approved travel expenses will be reimbursed in accordance with the Council's Expenses Policy.This is a flexible role, with working hours to be agreed within the operational hours of 9:00am to 5:00pm. The successful candidate will be expected to adopt a flexible approach to working patterns to meet service requirements, including occasional evening working between 5:00pm and 7:00pm to provide cover during periods of annual leave or sickness absence.You will: Travel across the district carrying out cleaning duties to the councils residential and commercial property portfolio.Carry out void/end of tenancy cleans as and when required.Complete communal cleans to specified residential properties.Perform cleaning tasks as assigned, ensuring all areas are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene.Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust, including floors, carpets, furniture, and fixtures.Empty and clean waste bins and dispose of rubbish appropriately.Clean and sanitise bathrooms/washrooms including all sanitary fittings and flooring.Clean and maintain kitchen areas, including countertops, cleaning kitchenware, sinks, appliances and flooring.Replenish supplies such as toilet paper, soap, and paper towels as needed.Follow safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the supervisor promptly.Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and effective completion of cleaning tasks.Occasionally work in environments where individuals may be vulnerable or present challenging behaviours where a calm, professional and empathetic approach will be required.Follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.Have strong attention to detail and thoroughness in cleaning tasks.Physical stamina and ability to perform repetitive tasks, such as bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritise tasks effectively.Good communication skills to interact with colleagues and supervisors.The Kind of Person We're Looking For: We're not just hiring skills - we're hiring the right attitude.
