The Design Engineer is appointed to work within R&D team and provide technical support to the R&D department. Day-to-day activities include:

  • Preparing technical drawings, creating BOMs, creating 3D models within Solid Works and aiding in the completion of ongoing project work within
  • R&D department. This role requires a self-starter who is highly motivated, innovative, and able to create high quality work using Solid Works. The
  • Design engineer will be key in supporting R&D team through providing in depth analysis of CAD models, requiring an eye for detail and solid understanding of engineering fundamentals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Creation of new products
  • Early-stage Ideation and concept development
  • Development and maintenance of Intellectual property
  • Completion of project work within timely manner
  • Creation of 3D CAD models and supporting documents.
  • Key Skills
  • Ability to create 3D CAD models/Assemblies in Solid Works to Advanced level
  • Solid understanding of Engineering principles and FEA
  • Organised and driven.
  • Self-Motivated
  • Ability to provide technical support to colleagues in R&D department.
  • Development of innovative design concepts
  • Ability to understand and approve technical drawings.
  • The ability to work under pressure.

Experience (Essential/Desirable)

  • 5 years minimum in Engineering discipline is advantageous
  • Experienced user of Solid Works
  • Strong IT Knowledge, experienced with MS Office, Excel, Power Point Etc.
  • Ability to work as part of Engineering team.
  • Ability to contribute to problem solving activities and quality improvement.

Qualifications (Essential/Desirable)

  • HNC, Degree or Equivalent in Engineering
  • Knowledge of Opera preferred but not required.
  • Previous experience in medical industry also preferred but not required.
