This is an exciting time to join Breathe. Having proven the value of our products in both the automotive and consumer electronics spaces, we are growing our Product team. You'll bring your battery expertise and your feel for what customers need to help shape our product roadmap, working closely with our product and engineering teams to deliver features that establish product market fit. It's a role that sits right where the technical and the commercial meet, so you'll be as comfortable talking cell behaviour with engineers as you are translating it into value for customers.

This is a role with real room to grow. Over time, you'll take on increasing responsibility in product definition, roadmap contribution, and customer-facing work, developing into a product leader as we scale.

Your day to day:

  • Support the collection and analysis of customer use cases and user stories, grounding them in battery performance and system behaviour.
  • Contribute to product discovery, translating battery engineering insights into product opportunities.
  • Work closely with the product and engineering teams to shape product vision and feature definition.
  • Analyse technical performance data, customer feedback, and battery behaviour to inform product improvements and competitive differentiation.
  • Help ensure features are technically robust, scalable, and aligned with real-world battery constraints.
  • Translate complex battery engineering concepts into clear product requirements and specifications.
  • Support the development of technically accurate value propositions, positioning, and customer-facing materials such as white papers, technical briefs and demos.
  • Provide deep technical support to Sales and Marketing during customer engagements, including RFI/RFQ responses, demonstrations and onboarding.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in battery behaviour, performance, and system integration.

Your background:

  • Significant experience in battery engineering, lithium-ion systems, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of cell chemistry, degradation mechanisms, and battery system performance.
  • Experience working with Battery Management Systems, battery modelling, or battery analytics.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate technical insights into practical applications.
  • Experience in product management, or in a commercial battery role such as technical sales, product/application engineering, or customer-facing technical support.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • A commercial mindset — able to connect technical decisions to customer value, differentiation, and growth.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical topics to non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to build cross-functional relationships across Product, Engineering, and Commercial teams.
  • Process and results oriented with a proactive mindset.
  • Ability to work in a kind and conscientious manner.
  • Adaptability in an innovative and rapidly scaling environment.
