Due to continued growth, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Production Engineer to join our Great Yarmouth base reporting to the Production Manager. The ideal applicant will hold a relevant engineering background and have previous experience in a manufacturing environment. The applicant will need to demonstrate exceptional attention to detail and be able to confidently make objective decisions. Technical competency in engineering principles, techniques and practices is key.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Completion of complex electrical wiring and following electronics schematic diagrams.
  • Assembly of systems, sub-components and panel wiring to competent level.
  • Utilising oscilloscopes and similar electronics test equipment.
  • Assembly and inspection of underwater pressure vessel seals and connectors.
  • Comprehending current build and test improvements with a view to making improvement suggestions.
  • Generation of technical reports.
  • Assembly, wiring, testing and fault finding modules down to component level.
  • Testing, fault finding and repairing complex printed circuit boards to component level.
  • Competency using equipment utilising potentially lethal voltages.

Requirements of Role:

  • Previous experience in a similar role essential.
  • Qualified in relevant engineering discipline.
  • Understanding of complex electrical wiring and electronics schematic diagrams.
  • Working knowledge of electronics test equipment, such as oscilloscopes and similar.
  • Ability to competently test, fault find and repair equipment.
  • Ability to work efficiently and safely under pressure and to deadline.
  • Excellent communication and problem solving skills.
  • Committed to hard work.
