Are you an experienced fire protection professional looking for your next challenge? We are seeking a Passive Fire Protection Engineer to join our team and play a vital role in ensuring safety and compliance across our projects.
In this role, you will conduct site surveys, identify and rectify fire-stopping deficiencies, and ensure all remedial work meets British Standards and third-party certification requirements. If you are passionate about precision, safety, and delivering quality work, this is the opportunity for you!
Responsibilities:
- Carry out daily vehicle inspections via Big Change and report any defects.
- Survey future projects and generate full reports using online tools (Flow).
- Maintain clear communication with site contacts and office teams throughout each job.
- Follow company processes for job commencement, including method statements and DRAMs.
- Install and remediate passive fire protection systems, including fire damper replacement, ductwork modifications, and fire stopping.
- Identify and communicate scope variances promptly.
- Ensure all remedial works comply with current regulations and certification standards.
- Collaborate with the wider engineering team to deliver exceptional service.
- Maintain high standards of health and safety at all times.
- Complete service reports and post-clean/testing reports before leaving site.
- Attend monthly engineering meetings and complete all compulsory training.
Essential:
- Minimum 5+ years' experience in the Fire Protection Industry.
- Strong knowledge of passive fire protection systems and British Standards.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High attention to detail and commitment to compliance.
- Relevant industry qualifications (if applicable).
- Understanding of asset compliance and lifecycle management.
- Experience using CAFM systems such as Big Change and Flow.
