The predicted salary is between 30000 - 42000 £ per year.

Carrying out planned and preventative maintenance using a wide range of equipment with an Electrical, Control System and/or Automation skill set. Fault finding breakdowns, reacting to machine or equipment failure, working effectively to focus on first time fix on customers' sites and our own facilities.

Perform installation, testing, inspections and certifications for applicable equipment to appropriate and corresponding standards. Provide support to and involvement in site project and change initiatives as appropriate. Writing electrical maintenance reports and recommendations based on the findings from the planned and preventative maintenance. Adhering to safety and performance standards.

Will aid in the delivery of training courses (once suitably qualified) to client operators and engineers. Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions and able to question design when required. To undertake and control small projects. Proficient in the use of IT systems (i.e., Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.). Willing to perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum essential qualifications/experience and role requirements:

  • Apprenticeship in a relevant trade
  • HNC or relevant experience
  • Have experience in an Electrical role in a regulated industry
  • Able to obtain security access to nuclear installations (BPSS – P4/SC Clearance)
  • Able to pass a DBS criminal records check
  • Willing to travel/overnight when required within the UK and abroad
  • Able and willing to work in nuclear facilities, including situations requiring use of specialist PPE e.g. PVC and respirators
