Salary: £ Dependent on experience
Location: Leicester or Market Harborough office with hybrid working.
Overall Purpose
To carry out all types of Residential Conveyancing transactions and assist in the continued and profitable growth of this work within the Firm.
Main duties and responsibilities
- Responsible for providing a high quality, residential conveyancing service.
- Manage own caseload of conveyancing transactions such as sales, purchases, transfers of equity and re-mortgages, including more complex transactions such as shared ownership, leasehold matters, lease extensions, sales and purchases of parts, plot sales and purchases and right to buy.
- Ability to deal with post completion to include SDLT and Requisitions from HMLR.
- See and advise clients of the firm generally.
- Check and deal with title and other legal matters arising out of conveyancing matters within the teams.
- Explain to and advise clients of the implications of their transactions and the legal documents they are signing.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the law relating to residential conveyancing.
- Ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements, such as the Solicitors Code of Conduct, and the Law Society’s Conveyancing Quality Scheme (CQS).
- Manage your own Assistant and ensure any training required is provided.
- Keep Projected Billing Spreadsheet and Conveyancing File List up to date.

Identify and protect vulnerable clients by notifying the Head of Department of any concerns.

Report any issues that may arise with any client or matter to the Head of Department.
