We’re looking for a motivated Assistant Engineer to support our engineering team in delivering high-quality fire safety and compliance services across a range of sites. You’ll gain hands‑on experience, structured training, and the chance to develop your skills in a vital and in-demand industry.
Responsibilities:
- Working in line with FORTH® Engineering Standards at all times
- Assisting the Lead Engineer with ventilation cleaning services to TR19 standards
- Supporting annual drop testing of fire damper units in accordance with BS9999
- Assisting with fire compartment remediation works under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 and the Fire Safety Act 2021
- Undertaking additional training and retraining where required to support the needs of the business
Person Specification:
- A full UK driving licence
- Flexibility and a positive attitude towards travel and changing schedules
- Previous experience carrying out fire damper drop testing in line with BS9999 standards
- Experience in firestopping or fire compartment remediation works
- Experience delivering air hygiene services to TR19 standards (or equivalent)
