Build and maintain strong, long‐lasting relationships with key clients, acting as their primary point of contact and trusted advisor.
Develop and execute account strategies that align with both client objectives and company goals, ensuring growth and profitability.
Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, customer preferences, and competitive landscape. Use insights to recommend service enhancements and new offerings.
Ensure good communication throughout departments and group offices.
Identify opportunities for STR products and supply feedback and ideas into the R&D department.
Comply with the STR Compliance Program, policies and procedures for both sales and operations aspects of this role.
Hands‐on understanding of subsea mechanical tooling (ROV / Diver and Decommissioning) equipment.
Attend meetings and carry out other duties as required.
Responsibilities
- Own and grow accounts (ESCA): build a rolling pipeline, qualify opportunities, and convert to orders against revenue/margin targets.
- Be the primary client POC: maintain senior relationships, understand requirements, and ensure right‐first‐time delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Quote → contract discipline: Prepare proposals and statements of work, size and select tooling, and price competitively; negotiate terms; issue terms and conditions and End‐User Statements with every quote; ensure PO and EUS receipt; issue Order Acknowledgements.
- Cross‐functional delivery: Work with engineering, workshops, and logistics to mobilize complete spreads from Aberdeen, Norway, and other sites on time and to specification.
- Technical stewardship: interpret inquiries from operational/technical angles (Mechanical Services/tooling) and shape solutions that meet spec.
- Market & fleet insight: track fleet demand and competitor pricing; feed data‐driven recommendations to Capex planning and product and R&D for new or upgraded tools.
- Compliance & systems: STR Compliance Program/policies/procedures; capture all correspondence in C‐SAM and maintain accurate CRM/forecasting.
- Business development activity: run demos/Lunch & Learns, support tradeshows, produce reports/forecasts, and contribute to group sales initiatives.

The Rental & Services Account Manager will focus on developing new business opportunities, representing STR at trade shows & industry events while managing and nurturing existing client relationships via Key Account Management (KAM). This role requires a proactive approach to sales, exceptional customer service skills and the ability to identify and capitalize on market trends. Own and grow a portfolio of offshore energy clients (operators, vessel/ROV contractors, EPCs) for our subsea mechanical tooling, survey and Inspection services offering.
