About the role
You’ll be joining our Engagement directorate, which is responsible for growing awareness, understanding, trust and engagement with Breast Cancer Now, to inspire people to get support and give support. It puts relationships at its heart, using data and insight to create brilliant experiences for everyone who supports us.
This is an exciting new role in our High Value Partnerships and Campaign department, sitting within the Campaign, Intelligence and Experience team. We have huge ambition to transform high value income for Breast Cancer Now over the coming years, through more holistic, audience-led working and the introduction of a major £60 million Campaign, the most ambitious high value fundraising campaign in our history.
The Campaign will raise vital funds for people affected by metastatic breast cancer, as a bold step towards our vision that by 2050, everyone diagnosed with breast cancer lives and lives well. Our Campaign board has been appointed and, having already raised seven figures in the development phase, we're now embarking on the quiet phase.
As High value Campaign senior manager, you’ll play a critical role in delivering the Campaign, owning and driving the Campaign plan and pillars across both the quiet and public phases. Working closely with the Head of Campaign, Intelligence and Experience, the steering group, pillar leads and other key colleagues, you’ll:
- own and drive the Campaign project plan, making sure activity across the pillars is delivered, recorded and reportable
- lead overall Campaign project management and the infrastructure that keeps the Campaign running
- lead the planning and logistics of Campaign Board meetings, and own Campaign Board-facing communications
- drive internal Campaign meetings and deliver the internal communications strategy, making sure relationship managers, the CEO office and other colleagues are involved and informed
- support Campaign senior leadership with some of the Chair’s non-donor-facing activity
- lead coordination with our High Value Events team and work with the Head of Philanthropy and Principal Gifts to lead our Volunteer Leaders Taskforce
- support the monitoring of the Campaign budget, including financial planning, tracking, reforecasting and reporting
About you
You’ll bring proven project management experience from a fundraising, major campaign or philanthropy environment, along with a significant understanding of major donor fundraising, corporate partnerships, and trusts and foundations. You’ll be used to working in a fast-paced, multi-faceted environment and to using a CRM system to monitor and track performance.
We’re also looking for someone who:
- has strong organisational and project management skills, and can prioritise and deliver across multiple workstreams
- has strong stakeholder management skills, with experience engaging high-level donors, trustees and senior leaders
- is a strategic thinker with excellent communication, collaboration and influencing skills, and is confident working across teams and at all levels of seniority
- has strong analytical skills and a high attention to detail, and is confident working with data, dashboards and KPIs
Experience of working on large-scale fundraising campaigns would be great, but isn’t essential.
