Brearley & Co are a leading independent firm of accountants who have been established for over 30 years with offices in Swinton, Doncaster, Dinnington and Barnsley. We are offering an excellent opportunity for a dedicated and ambitious 2026 A Level student to join our team as an Apprentice and develop their career in tax. The role will be based in our Swinton office and will offer an excellent platform to develop experience within taxation, whilst initially studying AAT, with a further opportunity to study ATT (Association of Tax Technician). Due to the highly varied client base, the successful candidate will gain broad exposure across all areas of taxation, while working within a highly supportive environment.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Preparation of Personal Tax returns
  • Preparation of Corporate Tax Returns
  • Deal with HMRC queries
  • Develop experience in the use of cloud accounting products

Skills and Qualities

To be considered for this position the successful candidate will be educated to a high standard with a GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English grade 5 or above and 3 A level grade C or above. Individuals must be confident in nature and have the ability to deal with a variety of individuals.
