Brearley & Co are a leading independent firm of accountants, established for over 30 years, with offices based in Dinnington, Swinton, Doncaster and Barnsley. We have an opportunity for an experienced Practice Accountant to join our Dinnington office. The position will manage a variety of clients, which consist mainly of smaller growing businesses to medium sized OMB's, providing full accounting support which includes management accounting, statutory accounting, business advisory services (cashflow forecasting, budgeting, strategic advice), tax and VAT advice. As a result, the role will offer an excellent opportunity to develop experience within a full accounting environment.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage own client allocation
- Responsible for own allocation of limited company clients
- Preparing statutory accounts for partner review
- Preparation of monthly and quarterly management accounts
- Preparing corporate tax returns
- Preparation of VAT returns
- Manage client queries and be a point of contact for your own clients
Skills and Qualities
To be considered for this position, you will have a minimum of 5 years of experience working within a firm of accountants. You will have developed experience of preparing statutory accounts and tax computations with little supervision and will be a finalist or qualified ACA or ACCA accountant. Applications of individuals who have decided not to take the formal qualification route but have developed suitable experience within a firm of accountants would also be highly encouraged.
