Brearley & Co are a leading independent firm of accountants, established for over 30 years, with offices in Swinton, Doncaster, Dinnington and Barnsley. We have a newly created position for a Junior Accountant/Semi-Senior to join our Barnsley office. Due to the highly varied client base, the successful candidate will gain extensive exposure across all areas of accounting while working within a highly supportive environment.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Preparation of Statutory accounts for Manager/Partner review
- Preparation of Personal Tax returns
- Preparation of VAT returns
- Preparation of Corporate Tax Returns
- Develop experience in the use of cloud accounting product
Skills and Qualities
Applicants must have developed between 1 and 2 years’ experience working within the accountancy profession and will have developed experience for the preparation of accounts at manager review stage. We are ideally looking for an AAT level 2/3 applicant; applications from individuals who have developed suitable experience from within the accountancy profession but have decided not to pursue formal studies are also highly encouraged. The business will provide a training mentor to help with your career development in day-to-day accounting activities. There is also funding beyond the completion of AAT for further ACCA studies.
