We’re supporting a fast-growing payments technology company developing next-generation POS solutions used by merchants and payment providers around the world.

This isn’t a “business-only” product role. It’s a hands-on position where you’ll be deeply involved with product architecture, certification, and delivery across multiple global payment schemes. You must of had a technical background or worked very closely with development teams.

The Role

As a Senior Product Owner, you’ll be responsible for defining and driving the product strategy for POS solutions. You’ll work closely with engineering, compliance, and certification teams to ensure features are delivered on time, tested, and compliant with global standards.

You’ll play a key role in:

  • Building and maintaining a clear, prioritised product roadmap aligned with business and customer needs
  • Translating ideas and requirements into detailed user stories and acceptance criteria
  • Working with engineering teams to ensure technical feasibility and successful delivery
  • Overseeing EMV Level 2 and Level 3 certification and brand compliance
  • Collaborating with partners, acquirers, and certification labs to ensure smooth releases
  • Identifying opportunities for innovation within Tap-to-Phone, SoftPOS, and contactless payments
  • Supporting go-to-market planning and providing technical context to non-technical stakeholders

This role suits someone comfortable switching between strategic thinking and hands-on delivery. You’ll be contributing ideas one day and refining release details the next.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager in payments, POS, or Tap-to-Phone solutions
  • Strong understanding of card payment ecosystems, including EMV certification processes
  • Solid technical background ideally having worked closely with software engineers or in a product development environment
  • Experience in fast-moving, smaller to mid-size companies (start-up or scale-up style)
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills, able to manage multiple workstreams
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a willingness to take ownership and adapt quickly to change
