A growing financial services organisation is transforming how its operations run. They are replacing manual processes with intelligent, scalable automated systems and need an Automation Expert to help drive this across the business. This is a brand new role for the company and you will be in charge from the outset, changing the way the business performs.
This role suits someone who enjoys spotting broken processes, removing repetition and building smart systems that make things run faster, smoother and with fewer errors.
Responsibilities- Map end-to-end workflows and identify where automation will make the biggest difference
- Build automated solutions that remove manual tasks and improve reliability
- Prototype ideas quickly and gather feedback from product, tech, and operational teams
- Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues and continue improving the systems you build
- Track hours saved, error reduction and overall business impact
- Work closely with engineering, DevOps and operational teams to align on priorities
- Strong experience in automation and systems thinking
- Understanding of AI and ML, including LLMs and prompt engineering
- Familiarity with frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow or LangChain
- Experience with cloud environments plus APIs, microservices and Kafka
- Good knowledge of automation tools (like N8N) and low‐code platforms
- Strong data skills, including modelling, analysis and preparing data for AI workflows
- Clear communication and ability to work with both technical and non‐technical teams
- Someone practical, curious and able to own solutions from idea to delivery
