You’ll own the data platform offering for commercial clients. That covers shaping bids, running POCs, building partner relationships and leading a large team from presales through delivery. You need deep technical credibility and you also need to be comfortable selling.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Leading client discovery, assessments and fast POCs that prove value and lead to full builds
  • Shaping target architectures, governance frameworks, operating models, roadmaps and commercials
  • Advising clients on data governance, ownership and operating models so platforms get adopted and scale
  • Building reusable accelerators for ingestion, data quality, modelling and orchestration
  • Building senior relationships with Snowflake, Databricks and cloud partners to create joint propositions and co-sell pipeline
  • Leading presales on strategic opportunities, from qualification and solution shaping to proposals and executive pitches
  • Building and leading a team of engineers, architects and delivery leads, and owning hiring, capability and utilisation

What you’ll bring:

  • Senior leadership of data platform and engineering services in a consultancy, systems integrator or technology services business
  • A track record of building and leading large teams of engineers, architects and delivery leads
  • Deep hands‑on understanding of modern cloud data platforms, ideally Snowflake and Databricks (AWS experience is a plus)
  • Experience taking clients from discovery and POC through architecture, build, adoption and optimisation
  • Strong knowledge of ingestion, orchestration, batch and streaming, data modelling, quality, governance, security and observability, including what’s needed for AI at scale
  • Experience designing data governance and operating models
  • Delivery of platforms for analytics, data science, customer intelligence and marketing activation
  • Strong presales experience: shaping complex deals, writing proposals and presenting to executives
  • A record of winning work through partner relationships, POCs and reusable accelerators
  • The credibility to advise CDOs, CIOs and CTOs

What’s on offer:

  • Up to £130,000 base plus performance bonus
  • Pension up to 5% matched
  • Private health insurance, life insurance and a health and wellbeing plan
