We are seeking a dedicated, student-centered Special Education Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate is collaborative, flexible, and passionate about supporting diverse learners within a competency-based framework.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) aligned with student goals and competency-based progression
- Provide differentiated instruction in small-group, inclusion, and project-based settings
- Adapt curriculum and materials to support a variety of learning styles, including within agriculture and experiential learning environments
- Collaborate closely with classroom teachers, specialists, and staff to ensure appropriate accommodations and supports
- Utilize behavioral, social-emotional, and de-escalation strategies to support student success
- Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting instruction as needed
- Maintain accurate and compliant documentation of student progress and services
- Communicate regularly with families to support student growth both in and out of school
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field
- Valid Special Education certification
- Experience working with students with diverse learning needs, including learning disabilities, behavioral challenges, and developmental delays
- Strong collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to thrive in a flexible, innovative educational environment
- Commitment to equity, inclusion, and advocacy for all students
- Willingness to engage in hands‑on, real‑world and agriculture-based learning experiences
