This is a part‑time, on‑site role based in Milton under Wychwood, near Chipping Norton. The Podiatrist will assess, diagnose, and manage a range of foot and lower limb conditions, including musculoskeletal, dermatological, and nail disorders. Daily duties include conducting clinical assessments, developing treatment and management plans, providing routine podiatric care, and advising on footwear, skin and nail care, and preventive strategies. The role also involves biomechanical evaluations, prescribing and adjusting orthotic devices where appropriate, and supporting clients with diabetes and other conditions that affect foot health. The Podiatrist will maintain accurate clinical records, collaborate with other practitioners in the clinic, and contribute to a safe, respectful, and inclusive client experience.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated clinical expertise in Podiatry, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of common and complex foot and lower limb conditions.
- Strong foundation in Medicine as it relates to podiatric care, including understanding of systemic conditions that impact foot health.
- Proficiency in Biomechanics, including gait analysis and functional assessment of the lower limb.
- Experience with Orthotics, including prescribing, fitting, and reviewing custom and prefabricated devices.
- Knowledge and practical experience in managing Diabetes‑related foot complications and preventive foot care.
- Recognized qualification in Podiatry and current professional registration or eligibility for registration with the relevant regulatory body.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain clinical information clearly and respectfully to people of diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team, with strong time management and organizational skills.
- Commitment to evidence‑based practice, ongoing professional development, and high standards of infection prevention and clinical safety.
- Previous experience in a clinic or private practice setting is advantageous but not essential for suitably qualified applicants.
