About the Role: This is a rare and exciting opportunity to play a vital role in reopening one of Break’s solo children’s homes in Norfolk, helping to make a genuine difference in the lives of young people in care. We are seeking experienced residential childcare professionals who are ready to take the next step in their career and make a real, lasting impact. As a Break Senior Support Worker, you’ll be working hands‑on day in day out with the young people living in the children’s home and act as the senior shift worker in the staff team. While there will still be an opportunity to work directly with young people, you’ll also take on additional responsibilities – line managing support workers, overseeing staff performance and welfare, and directing staff and resources effectively during shifts, including participation in an on‑call rota to ensure continuous service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:

Qualifications and Requirements:
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (must complete within 24 months of support work – fully funded by Break).
- Full, valid, manual driving licence.
- Experience as a residential childcare professional required.
- Excellent teamwork, problem‑solving skills and the ability to manage challenging situations with emotional intelligence and resilience.
- Willingness to work 38 hours per week and participate in a sleep‑in rota.
