Support Worker
Salary: ÂŁ28,103 â ÂŁ28,498 per annum, depending on qualifications (including 5 sleepâins per month paid at ÂŁ64.95 per night). Maximum full time job rate potential is ÂŁ29,289 per annum, performance related (including 5 sleepâins per month paid at ÂŁ64.95 per night).

About the Role
As a Break Support Worker youâll be working handsâon day in day out with the young people living in the childrenâs home. For some young people, the behaviours caused by the trauma they have experienced means they need additional support. Breakâs solo childrenâs homes offer these individuals the full attention they need to be able to thrive.
Youâll work with a tightâknit team of colleagues to build a relationship and trust bond with the young people living at the home. Youâll be a positive role model, supporting them in overcoming their previous trauma and learning to trust in adults again, along with the help and guidance of your colleagues and Breakâs therapeutic services. You will encourage new experiences, supporting the young people to develop their own identity.
Youâll be patient, thrive in a team environment, able to support those around you and have the emotional intelligence and resilience to manage challenging situations. To be successful in the role youâll be a good team player, and a problem solver.
Qualifications
You will need to successfully complete a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare within the first 24 months of support work. This will be fully funded by Break and you will be supported by our training team.
Please note that you must have a full, valid, manual driving licence.
The basic annual salary range for this role is ÂŁ24,206 â ÂŁ24,601. If your application is successful, your job offer will be based on these amounts.
