Job Overview: The role reports directly to the Project Director and will take overall responsibility for the successful delivery of a major data centre construction project, overseeing project performance from pre-construction through to client handover.

Must Have Requirements:

  • 10+ years' experience in a Project Lead, Project Manager, Senior Project Manager, or similar construction leadership role
  • Proven experience delivering large-scale construction projects for a main contractor
  • Strong commercial and financial management experience
  • Experience managing subcontractors, consultants, and multidisciplinary project teams
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Experience:

  • Data centre project experience
  • Mission-critical, pharmaceutical, industrial, or large-scale engineering project experience
  • Experience working on European construction projects
  • Strong understanding of procurement and long-lead equipment management

Nice to Have:

  • Degree qualification in Construction Management, Engineering, or related discipline
  • Experience with modern project controls and reporting systems
  • Knowledge of commissioning and client handover processes

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage project cost, programme, and budget throughout the full project lifecycle
  • Lead project teams to ensure safe and efficient project delivery
  • Coordinate subcontractors, consultants, and specialist vendors
  • Monitor critical milestones and proactively manage programme risks
  • Review construction proposals, subcontract packages, and scopes of work
  • Chair project meetings and client coordination meetings
  • Monitor project costs and provide accurate reporting to senior management
  • Manage procurement activities and long-lead equipment schedules
  • Review and validate subcontractor cost estimates and financial submissions
  • Support engineering and design decisions from a commercial perspective
  • Coordinate project scheduling reviews and programme updates
  • Review payment applications, invoices, and retention schedules
  • Oversee project close-out, commissioning support, and client handover documentation

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage large project teams
  • Commercially focused with excellent cost control awareness
  • Experienced in programme management and project delivery
