This is a senior site-based Document Controller position on a major data centre construction project in Skellefteå, Sweden. You will take ownership of the full document control process across the project lifecycle, ensuring all technical documentation, drawings, revisions, QA records, and subcontractor information are managed accurately and distributed efficiently across the project team. Working closely with construction managers, engineers, QA/QC teams, subcontractors, and consultants, you will play a key role in maintaining document accuracy and supporting programme delivery on a live data centre project.

Must Have Requirements

  • 5+ years’ experience in a Document Controller role within construction or engineering
  • Proven experience managing document control processes on large-scale construction projects
  • Strong experience using Aconex, Procore, Viewpoint, or similar document management systems
  • Experience with a main contractor or specialist contractor environment
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail

Preferred Experience

  • Data centre or mission critical project experience preferred
  • Previous experience supporting QA/QC documentation beneficial
  • Experience mentoring junior document controllers advantageous
  • European project experience beneficial

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all project documentation throughout the full construction lifecycle
  • Maintain document registers, trackers, logs, and revision controls
  • Control the distribution of drawings, technical submissions, RFIs, and QA documentation
  • Coordinate document flow between site teams, consultants, subcontractors, and client representatives
  • Ensure all project documentation is filed and archived correctly
  • Carry out quality checks on documentation to ensure compliance with project procedures
  • Monitor document status and ensure latest revisions are available to project teams
  • Support QA/QC teams with controlled and traceable documentation processes
  • Prepare weekly and monthly document control reports
  • Assist project teams with document management procedures and system training
  • Attend coordination and project meetings as required

About You

You will come from a construction or engineering background with strong experience managing document control systems on large-scale projects. You will be highly organised, detail focused, and comfortable working within a fast-paced live construction environment where programme delivery and accurate technical documentation are critical. The successful Senior Document Controller will be confident coordinating across multiple teams, managing competing priorities, and maintaining strong communication with both site and office-based personnel.
