Bread Street Kitchen, Bar & Rooftop, located in Stratford Cross, is the perfect destination for lunch, dinner and late-night drinks. In a stunning two-floor building in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, the restaurant offers a globally-inspired menu of Gordon Ramsay classic dishes, from traditional fish and chips to our classic beef Wellington. We also have an exciting array of exclusive Stratford specials, including the steak and ale pie.
We are looking for an experienced Senior Sous Chef to join the team at our Bread Street Kitchen in Stratford.
What you do as a Senior Sous Chef:
- You will assist the Head Chef & Executive Chef manage the day-to-day operation of the kitchen whilst supervising and developing the brigade.
- You will ensure the highest standards of food preparation and delivery, as well as effective communication across all sections of the kitchen.
The successful candidate will:
- Be passionate about delivering high quality, seasonal food.
- The motivation and leadership skill to represent Gordon Ramsay Restaurants and its world class hospitality standards.
- Previous experience as a Senior Sous Chef within a premium high-volume quality restaurant.
- Comprehensive culinary knowledge and previous experience of working in a quality food led environment.
- A solid understanding of classic cooking methods and seasonality, as well as an ability to innovate and create when needed.
- A keen eye for detail to ensure delivery of the standards and the highest levels of food quality at all times.
- A strong personality, with confidence and enthusiasm to lead the team alongside the Executive Chef in the day to day running of the kitchen.
- Have substantial previous experience working in a similar role.
- Be able to effectively lead, manage, motivate and develop a team while enhancing their skill level.
