We’re looking for a passionate and motivated Assistant General Manager to join an exciting new opening pub with rooms on the outskirts of Peterborough.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a small, independently owned collection of pubs at an exciting time, helping to shape a new business from day one and deliver exceptional food, drink and hospitality.

The Position

Working closely with the General Manager, you’ll help lead the team and oversee daily operations across the bar, restaurant and rooms. You’ll lead by example, drive standards and create a welcoming atmosphere that keeps guests coming back.

• Support the General Manager in leading, training and developing the team.
• Deliver outstanding guest experiences across the pub and rooms.
• Oversee daily operations, rotas and service standards.
• Work closely with the kitchen team to deliver a quality food and drink offering.
• Help drive sales, profitability and operational performance.
• Maintain high standards of health and safety and compliance.
• Play a key role in the successful opening and development of the business.

The Person

• Experience as an Assistant General Manager, Deputy Manager or similar.
• Passionate about great food, drink and hospitality.
• A hands‑on leader who enjoys developing and motivating a team.
• Commercially aware, organised and proactive.
• Excited by the opportunity to help build something special from the ground up.

The Package

• Up to £35,000 per annum + Tips
